A Special Note About The New Wisconsin State Electrical Code

The Wisconsin State Electrical Code is in the process of being updated to 2017 NEC. The updated code will become effective in part on Aug. 1, 2018. For additional information on the effective dates of the code, please click here. Staff from the DSPS Office of Education and Exams are working with subject matter experts in their Division of Industry Services to update the questions used in the exams for the following credentials:

• Commercial Electrical Inspector
• Industrial Journeyman Electrician
• Journeyman Electrician
• Master Electrician
• Residential Journeyman Electrician
• UDC Electrical Inspector

Updated questions related to commercial and residential electrical will enter circulation for exams given on or after Aug. 16, 2018.
