The owners first met with Keller, Inc. in the fall of 2020. While in the process of interviewing architects and contractors, they entered into a design/build agreement in October of 2020. The next few months were spent in design and pricing, along with helping in the negotiations on the parcel of land the owner was interested in. Construction contracts were signed in February ‘22 as a lump-sum, not-to-exceed amount and construction began two months later. The project consisted of a 3,936-square-foot, single-story ground-up office building to replace their rented facility. The project was fast paced and required 2,015 of Keller crew hours. It also included extensive work with the Keller in-house design. The interior design of this project combined coordination of exterior materials, the client’s wish to have a comfortable and timeless space and, of course, the project budget. The wood clad wall behind the reception desk mimics the wood-look siding on the building’s façade, while bringing richness and warmth to the lobby. The VandenBoom Verstegen Wealth Management staff moved in October 4, 2021.
