Sleep Inn

The Sleep Inn & Suites by Friede & Associates is a 66-room first-class hotel with six larger, extended-stay suites, large meeting and event space, large indoor pool with an indoor/outdoor swim-through hot tub, a 24-hour business center and fitness center. The fast-track project faced record rains and poor soil but was completed within the eight-month construction window, thanks to a panelized wall system and creative scheduling and sequencing of materials and subcontractors. A major challenge was finding both cost-effective and efficient construction products, while still exceeding the Choice Hotel brand standards. Extensive value-engineering was used to reduce the initial budgets and identify products that would not extend delivery schedules.
