Riverwood Eagle’s Nest Assisted Living & Memory Care

Nestled along the Wisconsin River in Wisconsin Dells is the new 48,000-square-foot Riverwood Eagles Nest Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. The one-story structure has a total of 52 assisted living and memory care units with a cozy, up-north feel. Longer lead times were needed for daily staff shortage and material shortages caused by the pandemic. The project experienced 18 days of rain and high humidity that prompted creative temporary A/C solutions. It was completed ahead of schedule and under budget, as Holtz Builders used value-engineering options to lower the cost of the original plans. Trees cleared from the site were refurbished for the facade and front entrance exterior. Riverwood is also the first senior living project in the state to use Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE Wisconsin), which allows property owners to receive low-cost, long-term loans to complete energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation improvements.
