This lakeside home, located in northern Wisconsin, needed a significant interior remodel to suit the owner’s desires. They wished to expand the kitchen, dining, master, and living space. In conjunction with these interior plans, the existing garage needed to be demolished to make space for the new attached garage. The goal was to achieve all these requests without changing the overall theme and style of the existing cabin. Reflecting on before and after photos, the chalet theme was maintained and final result quite exceptional. Seamless transition was achieved. This project’s substantial completion was on schedule in just 12 months, with limited staff, through a Wisconsin winter. This is quite an accomplishment considering a main structural beam needed to be repaired and change orders submitted all along the process to achieve the owner’s aspirations. The unique selections, roof lines, and customized cabinetry for this project were quite distinctive as well. The “hidden cabinet” in the bar area, with remote control storage entry, is just an example of some of the one-of-a-kind features in this home.
