The fast-tracked Milton Library was delivered on time and under budget while accommodating a fully-functioning library one floor below. It’s a $2.8 million state-of-the-art renovation consisting of a new entrance and 16,000 square foot in The Shaw Building, built in the 1960’s as the Milton College library. Now one of the finest libraries in the Midwest, the building was “chopped up” and repurposed several times. The vast use of specialty construction materials and themed spaces made scheduling a challenge. Gilbank used value engineering to save the fundraising campaign $100,000. The beautiful facility is now considered one of the most prominent, visited and highly-visible facilities in Milton.
