L.E Phillips Senior Center Expansion

L.E. Phillips Senior Center is a regional non-profit serving thousands of seniors in the Chippewa Valley. Royal Construction remodeled the lower level of the current center in Eau Claire and built a 7,000-square-foot ground level fitness center addition. The reconfigured lower level provides a new community center with meeting rooms to support partnerships with area entities such as the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC). Special features of the project included a lower-level lounge, a cafe, several conference rooms and a large activity area with space for future pickle ball courts. The addition included all new LED fixtures and lighting. HVAC rooftop units were also added to maximize heating and cooling throughout the building. Even with COVID-19, change orders and other challenges, such as road closures, Royal Construction was able to complete the construction under budget ahead of schedule within seven months.
