The design of this project started from an initial conversation about remodeling the existing dental office. When that changed to expanding the lobby and adding more room for offices and exam rooms, the analysis of budget numbers prompted some shifting of goals. Keller began by tearing down an adjacent building to provide room for the addition. Next, site work began and utilities were run. The site was challenging due to having to dig an extra 4 feet to find suitable soils. Also, keeping the practice open during construction and a pandemic was a challenge, as was dealing with material availability issues. The safety of everyone onsite became top priority. Keller used 4,900 work hours to build a very unique and functional facility. The wood framing allowed Keller the flexibility to provide for some of the unique finish materials to provide an attractive exterior. From increasing the R-value, updating lighting and HVAC, to beautiful features such as paneled walls, fireplace, grand high windows and beams in the lobby, it is truly a state-of-the-art facility for which the owner can be proud.
