Northcentral Construction revitalized a vital hub to the Port Washington harbor and downtown area. The Harborview Hotel project included constructing a restaurant under 4 stories of rooms, remodeling the lower level, new pool, lobby area, new windows and patio areas, all while the hotel continued operations. Pedestrian safety was critical in the planning. The proximity to the harbor afforded little staging space and required the implementation of strict safety guidelines to avoid material or personnel from ending up in the water. All trades onsite had to be familiar with the water rescue procedures and while working on the harbor side of the project, workers wore automatic-inflating live vests.
