Guild Designs Building Renovation

The Guild Design Building renovation was a true labor of love for the owners. The 5,200-square-foot project placed the highest level of priority on absolutely authentic materials, historically accurate craftsmanship and means and methods, as well as ensuring the building in fact appeared almost unrenovated from the exterior, and exactly as it would have brand new over 130 years ago. Ellis Construction was beyond honored to have our craftsmen be called upon and trusted to bring this project to fruition. From personally hand picking the bricks at a reclaimed site in Milwaukee, to single handedly choosing the lumber and species at sawmills, these were just a few of the steps the owners were committed to taking in order to ensure their vision was a reality; and most importantly, a masterpiece of historic renovation. Ellis was up to the task of working with the owners for all collaboration and planning necessary to have that be the case. The final outcome is a remarkable 5,200-square-foot masterpiece, featuring a craft boutique florist, bookseller, ultra-chic cocktail lounge, and a truly distinctive event space catering to the most discerning clients.
