This training will provide you with information on regulations and consensus standards, and describes engineering controls, protective equipment, and safe work practices to minimize hazards for workers during trench work and excavations. This certified program covers the scope and application of the excavation standard, general excavation requirements, protective systems requirements, and soil classifications along with OSHA inspections.
A half-hour break will be given but lunch is not included.
Class can be cancelled up to 2 weeks prior due to low registration numbers.

Dan Parks has more than 16 years of experience in safety with a degree in occupational safety and health from UW-Whitewater. He is an OSHA-authorized instructor for 10- and 30-hour construction programs, a certified instructor for NUCA Confined Space and Trenching and Excavation Competent Person Training Program and an authorized first aid/CPR and AED trainer.
