Safety is serious business at ABC of Wisconsin. Members know they need to provide regular toolbox talks, trainings for every member of their team, and create a culture where safety is both valued and expected on all jobsites.
In 2024, ABC exceeded previous membership records, and celebrated more than 1,000 member companies. Now, just a few months into 2025, the demand for safety services is increasing.

“Our members place a high value on safety, and our team works hard to meet the needs of each company,” says Don Moen, Director of Safety and HR at ABC of Wisconsin.
The safety team provides resources to all ABC member companies who request them. In 2024, their coverage included 687 contractor members. In addition, thirty members chose to contract with ABC for more robust Safety Services.
“For these contracts, sometimes we are the company’s main safety director. Or we are the contracted partner providing regular training to their teams. Depending on the contract, we’ll meet with those teams quarterly, monthly or even weekly.,” Moen said.
The ABC Safety team is also growing to meet the demand. Moen’s team includes Evan Beine, Dan Parks, and Jared Weber. Earlier this year, they added Eric Bauer.
“We needed to grow, in order to support the increased needs throughout the state. Eric is another skilled addition to our team, and brings decades of expertise on construction sites,” Moen explained.

The growing team provides both individualized services, and also broader trainings for the statewide association. At SuperCon in February, there were 20 different safety trainings provided, and the conference hosted more than 800 construction professionals, another record. In addition, members have access to an online library of safety training and materials, and the team will bring in experts to provide specialized services at reduced costs to members.
The goal is to create workplaces where no one is injured. OSHA also monitors jobsites for safety. In the instances where OSHA citations occur, the ABC safety team can provide help navigating OSHA citations, and assist with debriefing teams to ensure proper protocols are in place.
