Madison- The Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin announces Cheyenne Foster’s appointment to the Wisconsin Apprenticeship Advisory Council. The council advises the state of Wisconsin on the laws, rules and standards required for a successful apprenticeship.
Foster is an Apprenticeship Manager at ABC of Wisconsin, and has been instrumental in seeing more than 800 apprentices work their way through the program, which trains in 12 distinct skilled trades. Her work is coordinated with more than 500 employers who employ and train apprentices. She is also a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps before joining ABC, which enables her to provide support to the many veterans in the apprenticeship program.
“Cheyenne has a broad understanding of apprenticeship, and is well-suited to serve on the Advisory Council” said Kelly Tourdot, president of ABC of Wisconsin. “She has established strong relationships with the technical colleges, employers and apprentices, and will be a great asset.”
Foster is well known and highly respected by the employers and instructors in the ABC Apprenticeship program. She is also recognized within Wisconsin’s construction industry for her professionalism. Just this week, Foster was named as a Rising Young Professional Award Recipient by The Daily Reporter, a leading publication for Wisconsin’s construction industry.
“We are so proud to have Cheyenne working in our apprenticeship program,” said Michael McDonald, Director of Apprenticeship. “Her award from The Daily Reporter exemplifies the skill and energy she brings to our program. Her appointment on the Advisory Council will ensure that apprentices and employers receive the voice and resources they need to be successful.”
