MADISON, May 22, 2024 — ABC of Wisconsin’s Apprenticeship Trust is proud to announce a new way to support Wisconsin’s promising apprentices. This year, ten apprentices will be selected to receive $1,000 each to apply towards their education.
“We recognize the need for this scholarship program to both assist our apprentices with their program expenses and demonstrate our commitment to the construction industry,” said Michael McDonald, Apprenticeship Director. “This is a perfect opportunity for ABC to develop high quality apprentices to enter the workforce, where their skills are in high demand.”
The construction industry is facing a significant shortage in skilled workers. ABC of Wisconsin’s Apprenticeship program is preparing thousands of new workers to enter the industry with skilled trade experience. The new scholarships will help several apprentices complete their program on time and debt free. The annual application will allow additional apprentices to apply for consideration.
The scholarship program is funded by a long list of donors who have benefitted from ABC of Wisconsin’s services and want to support the next generation’s training. Generous donors recognized the importance of growing the skilled workforce in Wisconsin. With this program, the funds will be used as a practical way to make training more accessible. Donations are tax-deductible and may be made here (insert link) to support the scholarship program for years to come.
