The new, 90,500-square-foot elementary school consisted of a two-story classroom wing, kitchen/receiving area, library, gymnasium with wood athletic floor and another with rubber, a deck mezzanine for mechanical equipment, art room, and office area. Additional unique features include single entrance for safety and lock-down of building, state-of-the-art technology, efficient mechanical system, large windows for natural light, and flexible furniture for meeting and classroom spaces. The middle school/high school building included a 5,500-square-foot addition with new kitchen, wood shop, and robotics lab. The remodel portion included auto shop, FACS classroom, science/art classrooms, and new STEM lab. In addition, Wieser Brothers built an office addition, new vestibule, commons area, cafeteria, and a beautiful entry way. The school projects were completed in an impressive 20-month timeframe, within budget and with no lost workdays. Wieser Brothers self-performed 22,232 total man hours on this project. The end-product was updated state-of the art schools to serve La Crescent for years to come.
