Consolidated Construction completed the CopperStone Assisted Living and Memory Care Community’s 49,000-square-foot, 60-unit facility in Fox Crossing. Consolidated built the only assisted living facility in the state with an on-demand negative air system modeled after surgical suites, which can instantly negatively pressurize rooms to eliminate airborne contaminants so they do not seep into HVAC systems. The facility has bipolar ionization for all common spaces and has many non-porous surfaces to increase efficacy of cleaning agents. The design has many features typically only available in healthcare facilities, yet in a homey, resort-style, residential environment. Despite long lead times for product and labor delays due to COVID-19, the schedule was maintained and the building was delivered on time due to effective and creative planning and scheduling, and under budget due to cost-effective solutions. There were zero recordable worker incidents on this project.
