Located on the previous site of the Marling Lumber Yard in Madison, the 387,000-square-foot Marling project along the East Washington Avenue corridor is a mixed-use development with 228 apartment units, first floor retail spaces, and a four-and-a-half story parking garage. The existing site included historic buildings requiring abatement, contaminated subgrade, removal of underground storage tanks, high levels of ground water, and unstable soils, which required close coordination with environmental and geotechnical consultants. The “wrap style” apartment provides lavish amenities for residents. Occupancy was granted four weeks prior to the original completion date.
