Performance Firestop’s Complete Cover division completed the insulation work on a new, 250,000 square-foot MicroStar Logistics facility in Eagle Pass, Texas. Insulation work included steam and condensate piping; strainers, heat exchangers, and air separators; feed water tank; hot and cold-water piping; potable and non-potable water piping; and much more. The mechanical room required detailed insulation work in tight areas. The project, on the U.S./Mexican border, is more than 1,500 miles from Performance Firestop in Green Bay, which made project management more challenging. It was completed with only two insulators onsite at any given time, working on rotation to limit time away from families.
