Ford Construction overcame poor soil conditions and high water levels to complete a new, 200-foot retaining wall along the third base side of Frame Park, which included removal of an existing four-foot-high retaining wall. The project features a ten-foot wide sidewalk, which provides an elevated viewing area. To add depth and visual interest, baseball bat and ball motifs were cast into the concrete structure. Noise control was critical to minimize disruptions to park activities. The schedule was strict, as the contract stipulated liquidated damages of $500/day for late work. Despite these challenges and extreme heat, Ford Construction completed the work ahead of schedule.
